Super scooter
This was a top of the Santa list item for my 10 yr old 75lb son. He loves it!!! The option of using or not using the seat for only a bit more money was a wise choice. It was so easy to assemble as most of it was already put together. The maximum weight allows me to ride with him and we have had soooo much fun. It does not maintain speed with more weight going up hill but I think anyone would expect that. Huge factor was the tires. We did not want little skimpy inline skate wheels because with boys, they will go over just about anything. These tires will not stop the scooter causing it to flip like with those little wheels. The pneumatic larger actual tires allow for a bump and continued traveling. It was the hit of Christmas morning. All the kids in the family wanted to ride and did!!! It has been ridden so much in such a short time and we have had no problems like with other scooters reviewed. Great purchase and with the Amazon Prime no shipping, the price far beat out all others I looked at. I would encourage others to purchase this product if you are in the market. :2011-11-27 15:55:38

Best Christmas present ever
Got this for my 10 year old granddaughter for Christmas. It was by far her favorite gift. She uses it EVERY day. She loves having the seat. Her friend got the E100 model and hers is not near as fast or as well built. She likes giving her friends rides which is not a problem on this model. She is careful to turn it off when not in use and keeps it charged up. It does not seem to run out of juice too quickly, not sure how long she gets on one charge. By the way, I drove next to her to see how fast she was going and it was more like 18 MPH--this thing has some get-up-and-go so I would not recommend it for younger than 10 - 12. :2011-11-27 15:55:20

Christmas Gifts
We bought two of the scooters for a 7 year old boy and a 11 year old girl. These are the best scooters ever! The kids love them, and so do I when they let me ride one. :-) At first, we were a little concerned that the 7 year old was too young, but that ended up not being true. Both of the kids can grow into these scooters. The great feature is you can ride it with or without the seat. They are the best! :2011-11-27 15:55:01

So far has delivered as advertised
I bought this for Xmas for my 9 yo daughter. Was some concern about freight company delivering it before Xmas, but after two phone calls, was take care of. I had to call when it arrived locally to arrange for delivery, have to be present. She loves it but has only been able to ride it twice. It was very easy to set up, only 20-30 minutes. It's a pain checking and filling the rear tire with air ... have to use an extender that is in the right handle grip, spin the back tire until the valve is aligned with a whole in the rear chain sprocket, thread extender through hole and twist the extender onto valve, then do your check and fill. The anti-skid decal on the foot board was peeling up, so I had to apply some super glue and hold down to ensure it didn't peel off. Did not have to adjust the brake. Biggest Con: The battery can not be left in freezing temperatures, and you can not remove battery from the sccoter. So, scooter has to come inside for the winter. This may be the reason that other reviews indicate battery failure, perhaps they didn't move indoors during winter. Just guessing. Anyway, scooter's sitting in dining room, and according to book, have to recharge every month when not in use. Daughter loves it :2011-11-27 15:54:42

Purchased for my 9 yr old daughter
I read lots of reviews on Amazon before I chose this scooter. It is larger than I thought it would be. It is heavy, therefore it seems to be more durable than others that I looked at. We originally were planning to purchase the mo-ped type scooter for her, but it had alot of plastic and didn't seem as sturdy, or like it would hold up well. Even though the manufacturer suggests age 12 and up on this product, I read several reviews from people who purchased them for younger children and were happy with them. My daughter liked this one because she could sit or stand on it. The seat can be removed, but there is enough space in front of the seat to stand with it still attached.

We bought this as a Christmas gift. After we stored this outside for a couple of below freezing nights, my husband opened the box and read the instructions which specifically state --Do not store in below freezing temps as it will ruin the battery. We were a little worried so he put it together, charged the battery for the required 18 hours, then tried it out. It worked fine. And has continued to work fine. :2011-11-27 15:54:25

Battery life
My son got one of thse for his birthday last year. He loved it from the moment it came. It was easily assembled and charged. Like it was mentioned in a previous review, the battery life is short if used frequently. There are four children with this same scooter on our street and they have all died between 6 and 9 months after purchase. It seems that we've used up the batteries. I will be buying new batteries this year because my son just loves his scooter. :2011-11-27 15:53:54

Razor E300S Seated Electric Scooter
This was a great buy for our 12 year old daughter. She was upgrading from the Razor E100 that she received for her tenth birthday. She got two great years from that but was getting heavier now (105 lbs) and needed a little more power. This scooter fits the bill. It was easy to assemble. I was concerned she wouldn't like the fact that it had a seat since her E100 didn't have one but she likes it just fine. With the way you have to assemble it, the seat could actually be removed quite easily and ridden that way but she hasn't felt the need to do that yet. We have had it about 4 months now and it is still going strong. The batteries on the Razor scooters we have owned (two E100s and now the E300S) have been great. The kids just make sure they are switched off when they are not in use and we bring them in and store them in the basement for our frigid Midwestern winters. Bottom line...we would highly recommend this for any child over 5 feet and 100 pounds. I have taken it for a couple of rides myself and it is quite fun. :2011-11-27 15:53:35

Incredible fun
I bought 2 of these for my children aged 6 & 8.
I was a little worried by the performance of these so of course I "geared" them up head to toe and was quite pleased how well they performed! They were very easy to control and the center point for going straight has a little tightness which helps track the scooter going straight. Within 15 minutes they were a pro on these. The larger tires definitely made navigating holes and cracks a dream. The battery says 45 minutes of run time but I guess due to their weight (50 & 65) they last for over 90 minutes! I am 6' and weight 250 and it had no problem scooting me around for a test! This little scooter is fantastic and HIGHLY recommended for pure thrills and enjoyment. A real nice feature is the ability to have the seat on or off. :2011-11-27 15:53:16

Razor great
This was supposed to be a Christmas present for my 11 year old daughter. We went camping this weekend and gave it to her early. She was so excited and after using it all weekend was so thankful that she got the scooter. Power to carry an adult. Enough speed for a child. Not sure about the battery power, seems to me to loose power quickly but she is extactic, thus the 5 stars. Also, Amazon pricing and super saver shipping made the a real bargain! Once more, I am extreemly satisfied with Amazon.com! :2011-11-27 15:52:54

Great ride
I bought this for my 6yr old son. He loves it :0) He rides it all over the yard.We also took it on vaccation he
had a blast. His comment was this is a sweet ride!!!!! This was the best way for a 6yr old to keep up with the older boys.
He is to short for the seat but he does not mind standing up.
Amazon.com had the best price and did a great job on my order and had fast delivery

Regaurds,
Happy Mom :2011-11-27 15:52:35

Buy for my grand kids
The scooters are wonderful. Its a great deal for the money. I hate putting things together but these were pretty easy. We bought the model that comes with a seat. Its great because when they want to sit and ride they can but when they want to stand the seat can be easily removed. The only negative to them is they only get about 45-50 minutes of power. If they'd make them have a 2 hour reserve of power we'd rate them 6 stars! :2011-11-27 15:52:06

Razor Electric Scooter
This is a great scooter! Heavy duty and fast! Got it for my 7 year old daughhter and she loved it. It goes plenty fast and has a good battery life between charging. It can even carry Dad (240#)as long as not going uphill. Should last a long time and will probably get used by my 4 year old when he gets a little older :2011-11-27 15:51:45

Great for my 10 Year 's old
I bought an E300S for my son on his 10th birthday. He had ridden a smaller electric scooter at a block party and had been smitten with it. I opted for the bigger scooter for the large wheels, as I want him to stay on the sidewalks with it and around here there are some bumps and cracks, these big wheels handle them with ease. This is important because it goes fast (for sidewalk travel) - it needs to be stable to be safe.

The scooter is very well built. The basic components - frame, wheels, fork and handlebars are almost indestructable. In this age of plastic and throw away items, it is refreshing to come across a toy built for the long haul - much better than scooters in the 'good old days'. Of course the controls are somewhat vulnerable, but they are about as tough as bicycle parts, and should last indefinately if not abused. I particularly liked the charge connector. It is necessarily used often and if it breaks, the scooter can't be used. Razor used a high quality connector that should stand up to anything a 10 year old can dish out. It tells me they expect this scooter to be used, not gather dust.

A bonus feature is the freewheel on the rear sprocket which allows the scooter to coast with very little drag. The smaller scooters from razor don't have this feature.

We should have opted for the plain E300 - without the seat. It is a sturdy mount and easy to put on and off with a couple of (included) hand tools, but he simply prefers to ride standing up and does not use the seat at all.

I only wish it had a foolproof way to lock it up outside - a steering stem lock or hole in the frame for a bike lock. Without one, we are hesitant to ride it to school or the ice cream parlor.

I'm looking forward to the day when new battery technology will economically stretch the ride time. By the time they run low, he is ready to get off anyway, but maybe then they can make one I could ride.

Oh, by the way, my son loves it!

Great toy - Get one.

Razor rock!
This Electric Razor E300S with seat absolutely made our 13-year old son's Christmas! We got a great price compared to video gaming system bundles this year and it took less than 10 minutes to assemble. I did alot of research before choosing this model and I was concerned about some of the battery/power issues but after buying one I can confirm we have had no issues. My son has had good steering control, power up to 15 mph (as marketed) and the battery has lasted about 30 minutes which is just enough for him to tool around the neighborhood but not go too far. We love this product and are planning to buy a second one. As far as the seat, he reports that he likes having the seat because standing up get old and he doesnt have as much control as when he is seated. :2011-11-27 15:50:11

Mom Perspective
This looks like a sturdy scooter. If your children like speed this is the right scooter for them. However, the seat may be too high for short children. I tried it myself, I am 5'3" tall and my feet barely touches the ground to help me balance. It didn't look that tall on the photo. Amazon made the assembly very easy just 3 parts put together very straightforward. :2011-11-27 15:49:53

Great fun
Now that I've had the scooter for a couple of weeks, I feel it's a good time to write a review.

I'm in college. I'm 5'3" and weigh 118 pounds. This scooter is the perfect size for me. In fact, like another reviewer who is my height said, my feet almost don't touch the ground when I'm sitting on the seat. So please keep that in mind if you are thinking of purchasing this scooter for a child.

This scooter is powerful and fast. It easily makes it up average hills. It will not climb steep hills but you can help it along by kicking.

The battery lasts a long time for me. I haven't kept time, but I can make it around town and back and still have charge left. It's easy to combine coasting and power to make the battery last longer.

The handlebars don't adjust in height. It's a big scooter. It weighs 60 pounds. You will need to leave it outside when you reach your destination, so you'll need a good lock.

It needs to charge for at least 12 hours when the battery is low. Unfortunately, there is no battery indicator.

I love the color. It is pink with little flowers and super cute. I receive compliments about it all the time.

I attached a removable wire basket to the seat post (it faces backwards). You may want to consider one, too, because it's handy when you need to carry books, groceries, etc.

The scooter is great fun! It's good for the environment, too. I would totally recommend it to other college students. I use this for quick errands and then take the bus or carpool if I need to go somewhere farther.

I would also recommend it to teenagers who can't drive yet because you don't need a license for this and the freedom you gain is priceless.

Amazon shipped this quickly and I received it in less than a week. Great price, great company. :2011-11-27 15:49:21
